internetmarketing
Dear Friend,

Long gone are the days where you could just get by, having a website in that thing called “The Internet”. It use to be – and not too many years ago – you could out fox your competition by having an entertaining website attached to your business.

Because the internet was all new and interesting – you could get away with these sort of tactics. Users were uneducated and didn’t really know what to expect, or what they really wanted.

So, because of its novelty value you could generate basic interest for your business. (Note: the savvier folk who put true salesmanship in their website made a killing.)

These days really are long gone – the internet is no longer new or a novelty. It has developed into a serious business tool. Clients are educated, they know what they want and they wont put up with the song and dance routine when they are looking to you to solve their problems.

Unfortunately some business owners are still using the same website they had created X number of years ago. (and I’m sure they’re the ones saying – “The internet doesn’t work for me”)

Or worse still – some business owners are updating their website to be “More Entertaining” – believing (falsely) a more entertaining website will create interest and totally ignoring even the basics of salesmanship.

If this is you – STOP! You’re just wasting your money.

You website is an integral part of your business – some would say the most important modern day marketing tool – and forms a key part in generating leads for your products and services.

If your website is not working for you – it is simply because you are not using it correctly.

It can be a hard truth to swallow – especially if you have poured your heart and sole into it.

But in Marketing there is one simple rule – It works, or it doesn’t work.

If your website doesn’t work, if it’s not generating the leads you want – change it until it does deliver.

Make sure it follows the basic rules of salesmanship and you’ll beat everyone who is trying to be “entertaining”.

Make Your Marketing Work Harder,
James

PS. It doesn’t matter how many times you have to change your website – keep making changes until it works.
