Not only is your core marketing message the main attraction for your prospects – it is the mantra your entire company should be living by.
When anyone asks one of your employees who they work for or what do they do – out should pour your marketing message with bags of enthusiasm and a smile which would light up a dark night.
Why?
Because you are always being judged. You can’t stop people judging you or your business, it is just the way society is.
However…
You can be ready for it and whether you like it or not, you will influence a persons judgement of you either way. It is just your choice as to which way you influence it.
Think about this… lets say you sell tyres. One of your employee’s (and it doesn’t matter if they are the tyre fitter or the receptionist) is at a BBQ with friends and one mentions they need a new set of rubber for their car.
“Hey Jill” or Jim or whatever their name is… you work at a tyre place. Are they any good?”
If the core Marketing message is not clear to Jill or Jim, what do you think they are going to say? Exactly… Who knows.
Now, there is a distinction here, your core marketing message is not something they squark our like a parrot repeating something they have read in the employee manual.
They need to live it, they need to believe it.
And this is the KEY to every successful business. Employees who are engaged believe in what you are doing.
If they are engaged and know the core marketing message and the spirit of it, they will just naturally give you a great Marketing wrap. It will come across as genuine because it is.
It leaves a much better impression than – “Yep, they sell tyres and they do a good job”
